Tuesday 17th February 2015

Olney will be packed for the pancake race on Shrove Tuesday with hundreds lining the famous route from the Market Place to the parish church. The race starts at noon but the road closes so aim to be in place for 11.45 am.

Olney is world famous for its race and there is interest and media coverage from around the world. We also featured on the children's programme, Blue Peter. Photo report here.

Festivities start in the Market Place with junior races. The parish church will also be packed for the Shriving service after the race. At a 'pancake party' that follows, the race organisers find out the results from the USA race.

Interested in the history of the race? Please click here. Parking information here, though note the Market Place will be closed to traffic.
