About William Smart BCom, ACA, AFA

Principal

Will originally trained as a Chartered Accountant with a local Northampton firm, getting a thorough grounding in working with small businesses and taxpayers in the areas of Accounts, Audit,
and Taxation.

He went on to work for over 4 years in industry, holding a number of senior finance positions in London, latterly in larger international organisations. This allowed Will to gain invaluable experience of actually running businesses. This advantage, together with the desire to return to working with small businesses and taxpayers, led Will to start his practice of Chartered Accountants at the beginning of 2004.

Will now practices from his Northampton base, looking after various clients, ranging from taxpayers in employment, to organisations with turnovers in excess of £5 million.

Will has over 15 years’ experience in accountancy, is a holder of a Bachelor of Commerce, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. When not working, Will enjoys travelling, sailing (an RYA Yachtmaster), and failing miserably at DIY.
