Advantage Africa, based in Olney, works to overcome poverty and stigma. Projects include helping homeless orphans in Uganda.
They are more vulnerable to the global financial crisis than anyone; food inflation in Uganda is now running at over 30%.
Advantage Africa works in close partnership with inspirational people who have the ideas and plans to help disadvantaged people in their communities.
This particularly includes people who - alongside poverty - face prejudice and stigma as a result of disability or HIV/AIDS.
The charity provides encouragement, resources, links and skills training. Working with African communities and aims to improve incomes, health and education of 10,000 people by 2012.
