Stanwick Lakes

The wooden adventure playground at Stanwick Lakes is a wonderful place to explore for children. There are climbing towers of different sizes, giant slides and rope bridges, as well as swings.

There's an area to play with water using water wheels, a gully and stream. And large sandpits keep children occupied for ages.

Stanwick Lakes also has a network of over 7 miles of footpaths/cycle paths (wheelchair accessible). In addition to circular routes around the lakes there is a four mile linear route running from Irthlingborough towards Thrapston, providing safe off-road walking and cycling – and a means of ‘green’ travel for local visitors. This former railway line can also be used by horseriders (on a permit).

For details of cycle hire see Stanwick Lakes cycle hire.

Most facilities are wheelchair accessible, including the toilets, log cabin, bird hide, the network of footpaths and cycle paths, and areas within the central adventure playground.

Dogs on leads are welcome (off leads on the former railway line heading north off the main site).
