A Pilgrim's Eye
Throughout December, The Three Hares Gallery in Olney will house an exhibition exploring private and public belief around the world.
The exhibition of photographs is by local artist John Vilkaitis. Pilgrim’s Eye: Sacred Sights runs from December 2nd to the 23rd.
John Vilkaitis is an Australian, who has settled with his locally born wife and daughters in the village of Weston Underwood.
He uses a range of media including photography, pottery and mixed media to explore the people, places and beliefs he encounters.
His photographs capture the symbolism as well as private moments of worship, and the patterns inherent in everyday lives and landscapes.
The gallery is on the top floor of Olney's Cowper and Newton museum on the Market Place.
