Olney Town Council Olney Town Council comprises of 15 Councillors. They're elected every four years; the most recent election was May 2008. The Chairman of the Council is Michael Hughes and he also undertakes the office of Town Mayor. Part of the requirement if you wish to be a Parish Councillor is that you must live in the parish or within a 3 mile radius, or had a main place of work in the area. The main Council meeting takes place on the first Monday of each month. There are various sub-committees:- Recreation and Services Planning Liaison Olney Centre Management Dickens of a Christmas Finance Members of the public can attend all meetings.
