Lace Circle (Olney) There is still lace making in Olney. The Olney Lace Circle held their inaugural meeting in February 1980 with a handful of members, but now has over 35 members. The society's logo is a frying pan with a lace bobbin for a handle. The circle meet each Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon in school term time. The Tuesday evening group meet from 7.30 p.m. - 9.30 p.m. in the Convent. This is a small group and is mainly for those who cannot manage to attend on a Wednesday afternoon although all members may attend both meetings if they wish. The group operates on a self-help basis.
