Irchester Country Park About Irchester Irchester Country Park in Northamptonshire was formerly an ironstone quarry. There's a network of circular, way-marked and hard-surfaced long and short woodland trails. It has a new children's play area with sand play equipment, a digger, xylophone, balancing beams and seesaws. There are wooden play trains plus climbing wall and plenty of challenging climbing frames. A well laid out and large site. Ropes Course A new two level activity rope course opened recently. For an extra charge, adults and children (minimum height 1.5m) can climb, balance, zip and crawl through the trees. Jungle Parc costs £10 for the children's course, £15 for the explorer course. Instructors give a safety briefing first and there is a training course for children to ensure they have learned the basics. It is possible to book on the day. Railway & Museum There's also a Narrow Gauge Railway museum housing a collection of steam and diesel trains.
