Across the fields from Althorp is the royal house of Holdenby, a house with a history which goes back over 400 years.
Holdenby was built by Sir Christopher Hatton to entertain Elizabeth I, then became the Palace of James I but a prison of his son, Charles I.
Now a family home, this beautiful house also has a wonderful garden and Falconry Centre. You can have a chance to see birds of prey soar into the sky.

April & September: Adult £3, Child £2, Concession £2.50, Family (2+2) £8.

The gardens and Falconry Centre open every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday til 30 August inclusive. The gardens only will be open on Sundays in April and September. Opening times are 13:00 to 17:00.
