Commemorations The Remembrance parade went from the parish church to the war memorial on Olney Market Place. The parade gathered at 10.45 am and then at 11am held a two minute silence. Led by the Royal British Legion, those laying on of wreaths include The Town Mayor, Olney Town Council, The Scouts and Girl Guides, the Fire Service & St.John Ambulance At 3pm a service was held at the parish church of St.Peter and St.Paul led by the Reverend Claire Wood who is Honorary Chaplain to the Royal British Legion. The names of all the local people who died in the two World Wars was read out. |
