Claydon House

This Georgian country house has 18th-century interiors in a lovely setting. Claydon House is a National Trust property with a series of magnificent and unique rococo staterooms with important carvings.
There is a museum charting the history of Florence Nightingale and the Crimean War - the connection was that the famous nurse Nightingale was a regular visitor at Claydon.
The tea room opens at 11am. Shops and restaurant (not NT) are open 12–5. There's an art gallery, ceramics studio, seasonal plant sales (all non NT) and a second-hand bookshop.
There is free parking. Dogs (on leads) only allowed in the park.
Accessibility: Drop-off point and WC's near front of house, ramped access. The building has 4 steps to entrance, ramp available. 2 wheelchairs, booking essential. Ground floor accessible. Half-price admission for visitors unable to climb stairs.
In the grounds there is grass, uneven and loose gravel paths, slopes, some steps, undulating terrain. Accessible route. There is a ramped entrance to tea room.
