Chamber's Networking Success

Paul Michell

Forty people joined the Olney Chamber of Trade "Breakfast and Networking" event on 19th January, at the Bull in Olney's Market Square - exceeding the expectations of organisers for the launch.

The event attracted retailers and a range of other businesses and tradespeople from Olney and the surrounding area.

Guest speaker Paul 'Mitch' Mitchell, ex-captain of the MK Dons and now their Community Ambassador, gave an inspiring talk about the injury that forced his early retirement from the game. However, he outlined how his new role as a community ambassador allowed him to use football to connect with schoolchildren, prison inmates.... and of course business people in Olney.

Organiser Samantha Tomlin from Red Apple HR had worked hard to arrange the event for the Chamber and was thrilled with the high turn-out.

The breakfast meetings will now be a monthly event (details will be on the OlneyOnline calendar) and are open to members and non members.
