Night On The CatwalkIt was a night of stunning clothes, brave models and a packed house for the Rose Court Open Air Fashion Show. Working Together The show was put on by clothes boutiques 'Bex' & 'Wardrobe', as well as 'At Ruby's', 'Lily T' and 'The House Gallery'. Staff of the shops, as well as their friends, were models for the night. Those on the lingerie section showed particular guts. The behind-the-scenes photographs here reveal just a few nerves beforehand! The models were applauded loudly as they negotiated the long 'catwalk' down the centre of Rose Court. An Annual Event
Eileen Ward, of 'At Ruby's' lingerie said: "It was a difficult event to pull off, but it was worth every minute of the hard work. It was lovely to see so many local people come and support us. The loyalty of our customers means a lot." The owner of Bex, Rebecca Pacifici said: "The turnout was just brilliant, we are thrilled". She added that after the success of a similar event last year, they plan for the summer show to become an annual event. Nurses from Willen Hospice who attended the event said the money was much needed, as only a quarter of their funds come from the government and the rest provided by donation. |
