2010 Olney and North Bucks Business Fair for Olney

MP Mark Lancaster and MK Mayor Debbie Brock both attended the Olney and North Bucks Business Fair, which showcased some of the best companies in the area. A wide range of products were represented, enabling companies to make new contacts and generate business. The event was organised by OlneyOnline.com.

MP Mark Lancaster said: "I think it is vital that such events take place, not only to allow business leaders to mix with colleagues from different sectors, but also to celebrate the great achievements. After all, although business thrives on competition, the clout of businesses when they join forces can be great."

As well as being able to browse information stands, those attending had an opportunity to network and promote their own business too. There were thought-provoking seminars from Bob North from Kineks on 'search engine optimisation' and getting noticed by Google, Charles Mcadam on surving recession and preparing for recovery as well as Emerson Patton from action Coach on 'Perception is Reality'.

Companies ranged from the innovative A and O filmpac (led by Olney Mayor Mike Hughes) which supplies the plastics industry with bio-degradable and compostable products to Nicky Marchants holistic therapies.

The drop-in event was for anyone involved in business in the area and attracted businesses from Wellingborough, Newport Pagnell and Milton Keynes as well as Olney itself. The evening had been publicised widely in the local area.
